Mpumalanga is one of the most beautiful provinces in South
Africa and is situated about 3.5 hours drive from Johannesburg.
The province also has its own Airport, for those wishing to fly
and start the tour from the airport.
  
The province boasts attractions such as the Kruger Park,
Pilgrims Rest, Gods Window, The Pot Holes and many more. Because
of Mpumalanga’s natural beauty, this tour has become one of the
most popular tours for visitors to South Africa.

Pilgrims Rest is a small village with its history dating back to
1873 when a miner, Alex Patterson, discovered alluvial gold on
the farm named Ponieskrantz. The village has a museum, an old
church with a very old cemetery and several other historical
buildings, such as the Grand Hotel and old Post Office.

The Kruger Park covers an area of 20,000 Square Kilometres, and
allows visitors the opportunity to see indigenous animals to the
area in their natural environment. Animals that can be seen in
the Kruger Park include the Big 5 (Lion, Rhino, Wildebeest,
Elephant and Leopard), zebra, buck, giraffe, birds and many
more. |
